Merino/Cultivated Silk 60/40 is a new special  offered by Worsted Spinning New England. The top is blended well but not combed so you get visual streaks of silk once its dyed. This fiber blends the warmth of merino wool with the luster, shine, and strength of silk. Also called Bombyx silk or mulberry silk, this silk is produced from silk worms in captivity and feed only on mulberry leaves. These split bumps will range from approximately 9 to 10 lbs each.
